The new Siemens C75
I got an email today from Siemens about their new Siemens C75. At first glance, it looks like a Sony Ericsson K700. Maybe my eyes are failing me but they do look similar on the screen part. Included in the email was also something in regards to a contest on their website (Magazine section) but the link was elusive. I backtracked back to their homepage but only managed to find a Play and Win contest to win a limited edition doll. They really have to do something about those email links but alas, here’s the contest link in question.
Anyway, in regards to the Siemens C75, it looks pretty neat considering they’ve been having a tough time getting enough profits to stay afloat among the other cell-phone giants like Sony Ericsson and Nokia. Some quick facts :
The C75 comes with a VGA cam with 5x zoom and video recording, 10MB memory (not even decently enough), a 132×176 TFT display with 65.000 colours, MMS, e-mail client, Push-to-Talk, Instant Messaging and 3D Java. All this packed into a design smaller than usual. The C75 will be available from August 2005 at a very reasonable price.
