Samsung YP-T8 Review

Engadget has drooled over it and Mpnavi (Korea) has even given it a thorough review. Where else can you find a MP3 Player that plays games and looks like a mobile phone. Let’s talk about the cool Samsung YP-T8.
The Samsung YP-T8 MP3 player aka Yepp Digital Audio PLayer looks like a phone and packs a bunch of cool features. The new T8-series, offers the “A” (2GB), “Z” (1GB) and “X” (512MB) versions.
It’s got a 1.8-inch 262k TFT LCD, FM radio, voice recorder, photo viewer, text viewer, game functionality, plays back MP3, WMA, Ogg, Secure WMA ( wow ) and Audio ASF and MPEG4. Battery life should last at 20 hours, and its 43.5 x 83 x 15.5mm frame weighs in at 55g. Internal memory sizes will be available in 256MB, 512MB, 1G and 2G versions. There’s also a USB 2.0 function to hook up the Samsung MP3 player with your PC for sync-ing purposes.
To sum it up, the Samsung screen is big and clear, the features rocks and how good are the controls for game playing remains to be seen ( till I get the demo set ). Do you really need an MP3 player when the new Sony Ericsson W800 is coming out ? Well I don’t mind carrying one more thing in my pants if someone gave it to me for my birthday.
