3 opinions for Samsung YP-F1 MP3 Player

The YP-F1 is not quite ready for prime time. Although the player is feature rich, the firmware on this device is quite buggy at this time (Jan 2006), because it is not friendly with other computer drivers and is unreliable as a USB storage device (crashes when copying files to a computer). It uses a SETTINGS.DAT file to keep track of user preferences and so on. This file is easily corrupted, rendering the device virtually inoperable. Downloading a known good copy of the file fixes the problem, but requires connecting to my computer.

I like this little player, but I don’t like it crashing my WIN2K workstation.

Does it do an external harm to your computer. I’m not that much of a computer wize so I am unaware. I have used the product for a little over a month now and it has worked wonders so far. Let me know.
