United Keys 205PRO LCD Keyboard
We talk about the cool Optimus LCD concept keyboard back in July and we were stumped by the cool LCD keys. Too bad the Optimus might not make it out from the design concept but fret not, the United Keys LCD Keyboard is here to save your fingers and pimp up your PC. Available only next year around Q1 2006.
The United Keys 205PRO keyboard is built by a leading manufacturer using high quality metal internal frames and mechanical keyswitches. The outside enclosure is heavy and extremely durable. Keytop displays are 20 pixels by 20 pixels, in monochrome. The keyboard runs on USB 2.0, and comes with desktop software comprising five main user components: a Layout Editor, a Display Editor, a Gallery, a Command Editor and an Image Converter.
While the United Keys design may be less ambitious, featuring fewer, lower-resolution monochrome LCDs, the difference is that the 205PRO PC keyboard will be available in Q1 2006, and is already available for pre-order at the discounted price of US$199.99 until the end of this year; the regular price is to be US$299.99.
