Halley LED Desk Lights
I’m becoming a LED light freak. I received my Brando Hand-pressing Torchlight this morning (I’ll be reviewing it later ) and I’m still dreaming about the awesome Angus Noble Indium Smart Flashlight that’s out in 5 weeks for a whopper USD 350. What’s a gadget guy to do when companies keep churning out this LED babies. Get a Halley LED Desk Light to show off to your office colleagues and boss too.
The Halley Collection of lights, designed by Richard Sapper for Lucesco Lighting comes available in three sizes, Compact, Desk, and Floor, and two colors, silver and black to match your carpet. The 20 watts of warm white LED light produces the equivalent light output of 35 watt halogen bulb.
The Halley LED task light is more energy efficient than incandescent or halogen light sources, which convert only five percent of electrical voltage to light, while LEDs convert between 15 percent and 20 percent. LEDs do not burn out but provide illumination for up to 25 years. The LEDs in Halley also produce no UV radiation and dissipate heat throughout the back of the LED package, reducing heat emission and energy spent on cooling.
