Sony Walkman is Greatest Gadget for the past 50 years
Why on earth did PC World named the Sony Walkman as the greatest gadget of the past 50 years is beyond me. I guess they love music so much and they can’t live wihout it. Sure, the Sony Walkman is cool and it was every teenager’s fav gadget back in my school days ( the 80s ). Too bad mine just died last year. I’ll get a pic of it up later. As for my fav gadget for the past 50 years, it’s gotta be the Palm PDA. It had so many software developed for it until it became important to sync every day to keep up with the Joneses.
The Sony Walkman has been crowned by PC World magazine as the greatest gadget of the past 50 years. When the blue and silver cassette player debuted in 1979 for $200 \’no one had ever seen anything quite like it,\’ the magazine noted. The first units had double headphone jacks to share music with friends, but that feature was eventually dropped. Ranked second on the list is the Apple iPod. More than eight out of 10 digital players sold by mid-2005 were iPods.
