Toyota Launches Car-shaped Music Player
Some people can’t get enough of music. Some listen to it in the shower and some in the rest room. Some even have gigantic speakers in their car boot and leave no room for their luggage on long trips. Well, Toyota has launched a completely redesigned passenger car called the “bB” in Japan on December 26, 2005 with nine speakers (9) located throughout the interior, an audio system employing surround digital signal processing (DSP) technology, and an input terminal for connecting to a portable music player like the iPod.
Lights that flash in rhythm to the sound are provided in 11 locations to create an atmosphere similar to those of disco nightclubs or live music concerts. In addition, “Mattari (laid-back)-mode front seats” featuring seating faces that slide down and sink about 80 mm are installed in all models for a music massage. Comes in 1.5- or 1.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing-intelligent (VVT-i) mechanism coupled with an electronic control four-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel and four-wheel drives are available from this Toyota Bb model.
