First e-Ink Newspaper from Belgium

Arjen from FreshTechnology dropped me a note on this cool news today. Recyclable e-Ink paper looks promising but soon, I’ll run out of newspapers to wrap up my veggies.
During 3 months, 200 subscribers of the Belgian business newspaper ‘de Tijd’ will read their paper on electronic paper (E ink). ‘de Tijd’ is the first paper in the World to publish on electronic paper. The IBBT E-paper project will cover April until July 2006. The test will be done with a prototype from the young company IREX, an offspring of Philips. The device has a screen made of so-called digital paper. Philips has done research on E ink since 2004. This technology is based on the movement of charged, tiny capsules of white and black ink.
