You’ll be surprised with the technology today, as microphones are shrunk into the size of a “tooth-pick”. The Lectrosonics ultra small wireless microphone comes with the condense microphone RF transmitter and an AA battery. Uses its very own Digital Hybrid Wireless technology, giving a great communication experience. Yet, this could the next best tool in the next James Bond movie. Just stick it in your boss room and be the first to know who is getting fired or a raise.

This self-contained microphone includes a condenser microphone element, an AA battery, and a 250mW RF transmitter that utilizes Lectrosonics’ proprietary Digital Hybrid Wireless technology. The microphone element offers an amazing frequency response of 5Hz to 120KHz, a dynamic range of 120dB, self-noise of 48dB and a maximum SPL of 168dB. The $499 XSDT-ALK uses an alkaline battery while the $699 XSDT-LITH uses a lithium battery.

I’ve seen this thing in a couple of other places… it has to be a joke, right? How can they charge $500 for something that is disposable? or $700 for the lithium version???

well. some people have too much money to throw away. Just like golf. I was passing a golf course at 11am on my way to Delft (Netherlands) and you have this bunch of woman playing golf in 15 celsius weather. Now is that not a waste of time and money and not to mention, insanity. I can’t comment more as my wife will probably do that when I make a million bucks a month !
