Lite-On SSM-85H5SX external DVD rewriter
Lite-On just announces a new slim external DVD rewriter, SSM-85H5SX. This is the new drive which is able to read and write all DVD and CD format in the market. What is more interesting is that it is equipped with LightScribe technology. The only downside is it does not supper reading and writing Blu-Ray and HD-DVD discs. It connects to the computer via USB 2.0 ports and USB 2.0 also powers it without the need of an external adapter. This is definitely good news for notebook users who wants portability. It is not the fastest drive in the market but it definitely is the most portable of them all. Most users will be pleased just to have an external DVD rewriter for their notebook. The drive comes bundle with Nero 7 essentials OEM suite. Pricing is expensive as well, selling at over 50 pounds. That is what is to be expected for a portable device.
