Sony launches new groundbreaking online community
Today Sony launches a new groundbreaking online community – www.vaionation.co.uk, set up for users to share skills and ideas. Vaionation.co.uk includes material from up-and-coming pioneers of style and creativity with experts from the film and music industry.
vaionation.co.uk showcases the best and emerging talent in the music industry. Artists involved include legendary DJ and master of funk, disco and soul, Norman Jay MBE and London rapper - Plan B whose dirty lyrics have critic’s tongues wagging. Both have created their most recent work on the Sony VAIO laptops using its audio and video editing media software, including industry-leading Sony ACID Pro and Sound Forge programmes.
Other acts that are part of the vaionation.co.uk community include new bands tipped to be big in 2007 - Mancunian band Keith, who recently collaborated with Lily Allen on her debut album – Stateless, who have just finished touring with DJ Shadow, and the unsigned WhiskyCats who are currently gigging around the country to rave reviews. The emerging artists have landed their spot in the hit parade through relentless touring and now fans can follow the band’s journeys by viewing streamed clips online and listening to their new material edited with Sony’s breakthrough music software on their Sony VAIO laptops.
