Windows Vista has created a sudden surge in PC sales due to its demanding and impressive GUI. However at the same time PC prices are dropping and there are some speculations going on about a Windows Tax. The prices of Dell computers that come preinstalled with Ubuntu Linux are about $50 cheaper than systems which have Windows installed and that are mostly likely the prices that Dell donates religiously to Microsoft per PC sold or as the site calls “Windows tax.”
