Apple iTunes could offer video rentals
In future, Apple Inc. will offer video rentals through iTunes. Apple Inc. has already started talks with some big moviescompanies regarding the launch of online film rental services. Currently, Apple has two deals with Walt Disney and Paramount. Online rental is another source to generate more revenues without affecting sales.
A film would likely to cost $2.99 and users are allowed to keep it for 30 days. This would be a competition towards cable companies. To avoid piracy, users are allowed to copy the movie to a device only, computer or iPod.
