Women shopping for tech stuff
The whole is changing. Men used to be the primary driver of tech gadget sales. Well that’s the past. An announcement by department-store chain John Lewis states that women will buy more electronic gadgets than men this coming Christmas. So what do women buy ? They are getting fond of gadgets such as digital radios, iPods and digital photo frames. Tech retailers should take note of this and maybe have sexy male models to show off their products. Its not a male dominated market anymore.
“The appeal of technology to women is cross-generational, from young women who have grown up with technology, to women who have been exposed to technology at work and older, motivated self-learners who are all embracing new products which help them capture memories, stay organised and keep in touch,” she said.
