ZPAC 40 Zinc Air Powerpack

If you are gonna be bringing along lots of gadgets on your next holiday trip, you might wanna check out the cool ZPAC 40 Zinc Air Powerpack that was unveiled at last week’s CES 2008.

The ZPAC 40 Zinc Air Powerpack, is the first commercial product from the Power Air Corporation and its an amazing recharger for gadgets. According to the site, its a fuel cell technology that uses zinc and air to generate electricity. This lightweight, compact, recyclable “CellPac” easily fits inside a shirt pocket and provides the equivalent of 40 AA alkaline batteries. That means it can provide personal portable power without the need of an electrical outlet or messing around sockets. It provides extra runtime for travel, emergency, remote and recharging power gadgets by supplying energy via a mini-USB port. Adaptors are available to connect to most devices that do not have such ports.

Light-weight and having something equals to 40 batteries in my pocket? I would want one, maybe more. As it said, it will be able to recharge mobile phone for up to ten times. So, how long does it take to recharge itself? And as far as I am concern, most rechargeable gadgets allow users to charge only one device at a time. Since this power pack is so powerful, wouldn’t it be better to provide multiple connection which could target family outings?
