Garmin nuvifone cellphone is fat
I seriously doubt I will ever get a Garmin nuvifone cellphone since its pretty fat and I might need to carry a big handbag in order to bring a charger for it too. Sure its got a awesome 3.5″ touchscreen, internet browser, HSDPA, pre-loaded maps of either North America, or Eastern and Western Europe but do they know its BIG? How does Garmin expect me to fit it into my slim Levis 514 ?
Expect it to roll out Q3 2008 with the “millions” of POIs integrated, a Google-powered local search feature, instant reporting of co-ordinates, built in geotagging camera a la Navpix and an integrated media player…..It only gonna collect dust if I get one since I’m still so hooked on my excellent Nokia N95 (which also has a GPS)
If you are in Spain during February 11 – 14, Garmin will be showing this phone off at 3GSM in Barcelona,

Actually your phone doesn’t have GPS…you have a less acurate and less reliable feature. You should research the difference between sat/nav and other lesser technologies.

Um, the Nokia N95 is about $800! I paid $400 for my Blackberry 8800 and have Garmin GPS (yes its GPS enabled) loaded. I’m sooo psyched about the Nuvifone because the small keys on the BB are driving me crazy when I txt. Really looking forward to all the geocaching and txting I’ll do with my Nuvifone in a few months. OH, that is if they get the 3G going with AT&T. So far it’s only in “MAJOR” cities. HUM, I wonder if Garmin thought of a Sat Phone connection???
