The Gadgenista asks when it’s appropriate to wear a Bluetooth Headset. For all the clueless out there, here’s a quick guide:
Do wear Bluetooth headsets when driving. Recent laws should be enough incentive.
Don’t wear Bluetooth headsets while walking around. Unless you want to come off as the Locutus of Borg.

According to DirectVoxx’s marketing folks, by next year you’ll be able to control your iPod by talking to it. Apparently, the Muso will understand natural-language commands by looking at your iTunes library. They promise phrases like “Play me some Led Zeppelin” or “Gimme jazz” won’t cause any confusion, all for $159.

Problem: You’ve got a gadget that can broadcast FM signals, allowing you to stream music to your car radio without wires. Examples include the Nokia N78, offerings from iLuv, the USB Fever 8-in-1 FM Transmitter for the iPod and iPhone, and Proporta’s iPod FM transmitter. Unfortunately, with so many radio stations in your area, it’s […]

I also realized that offloading files, especially music files, to an external drive is problematic. The point of a notebook is portability, and hooking […]

With everyone anticipating the new handsfree laws taking effect tomorrow, it’s good to know which Bluetooth headsets provide the best bang for your buck. The San Francisco Chronicle website has recently published a rundown of four handsets, discussing each model’s merits. Among these, the Aliph Jawbone stands out. Despite the lack of volume controls, its […]

Belkin’s latest power-strip adds a very smart feature for travelers: USB ports.
The strip has a couple of charge-only sockets along with the three-way mains AC extenders and even comes with a mini-USB cable, obviating the need to carry chargers for most gadgets.
The $25.00 USD box also squeezes in a surge-protector for those untrustworthy hotel […]
